An exhibition featuring more than 50 artists showcasing their *Gaturron’ts*: drawings in mockery, anti-tributes, and contempt for a cartoonist that many already know for his shameful support of right-wing governments in Argentina.

DJ sets by @carolooo000 and @littlebitofmer + a performance by @moraylosmetegoles (which, spoiler alert, ended with a papier-mâché Gaturro crowd-surfing in a mosh pit).

A free entry edition that attracted over 3,000 people throughout the night, highlighting the need and importance of cultural gatherings in these times when the far-right is in power in Argentina.

*Gaturron't* as a name plays with the meme of adding a "don't" / a "no" to things that generally annoy us a bit. Things we "have to accept" but that really don't fit us at all, so "jajan't." *Gaturron't* as an initiative is about making that act of resistance physical. If the current political context has taught us anything, it’s the need to express ourselves, to think about ourselves in relation to others, and to say, "Hey, not this." We find it important, from cultural projects, to create that space for gathering and manifestation. Many of us say NO to these government policies, and yesterday at the exhibition, it was felt. Nik is a poor fool who found a job; Gaturro might even be a victim of his creator. Having the support of visual artists and musicians like those who participated yesterday fills us with strength and confirms that life isn't on social media, but in the warmth of a mosh pit with a papier-mâché Gaturro crowd-surfing.
The exhibition has a first edition that took place during Macri's government in 2018, where Nik's figure also supported his policies with jokes. Macri the cat and Milei the cuddly kitten meet once again.
