With more than 200 self-organized vendors in an open, free, and uncurated call—meaning no one decides who participates in the gathering—La Fantasma emerges in a context of significant economic uncertainty in the country and a lack of opportunities for exhibitors and projects to meet without the high costs typically associated with the limited fair options in this field in the city.

La Fantasma is a call to collective work and shoulder-to-shoulder collaboration in an increasingly individualistic society that neglects its producers within the very structures of work.

A self-organized, open, free, and wonderful fair that allows everyone to participate, without financial limits, aesthetic requirements, or a maximum capacity. It’s a gathering aimed at creating a network of projects working together for a more equitable and co-participative flow of information, resources, and needs.

Printed art is a tool for political and social communication, and it deserves to circulate within society and be accessible to everyone.
